Let’s start with Botox’s ethical conduct; do not test on pregnant women, nursing women and any animals! Thankfully! Clinical studies have also not been performed for the older adult group (over 65 years of age).
When do I start getting Botox? This is a frequently asked question. It all depends on your age, genetics, sun exposure and many other varying factors. However, a good time to start is when you start to see static wrinkles (visible lines when you are not moving your facial muscles). Anyone looking to soften their wrinkles and regain their youthful appearance between the age groups of 18 years young to 65 years young is great candidates for Botox. The sooner you get Botox, the less you will need when you’re older. It is very effective in preventing permanent deep wrinkles.
When will I see the results?
The results from Botox are not immediate and takes an average of 7-10 days for you to see the full results and lasts about 3 to 6 months. Depending on each individual.
Is there any downtime after a Botox treatment?
It is advised for clients to remain upright, not drink alcohol and to refrain from doing any extraneous physical activity (such as strenuous workout, facials or chemical peels) for 3 hours post-injection. As well, do not go to the Spa or do any facial lasers post Botox for at least 24 hours.
How do I get the best outcome?
Clinical studies suggest that consistent maintenance is key with neuromodulators. The more consistently you do the treatment on a quarterly basis the less you will have to do after each visit. Also! For optimal results, use neuromodulators in conjunction with facial facials. Yes! We have facial fillers that fill in those wrinkles lines and lasts up to 2 years!
